Reading Through the Book of Isaiah – Day 2

0f46ff9934f331858e760b8a87cb2b71

O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the LORD. Isaiah 2:5

Today let’s read Isaiah 2 in our Bibles and reflect upon what God wants us to learn as we read.

We need to walk in the Light of the Lord in order to reflect the Light of the Lord.  I am not always a light and sometimes it has been because my light has offended someone.  I have allowed my light to be snuffed in certain circumstances and I have made the decision that I will not allow that to happen anymore.  I am the daughter of the King and I have a testimony to share.  I won’t shove it down your throat, but I will share what His light has done in my life to spread some hope to others.

I gave an update on my life over the last 18 months on facebook and part of what I shared is that I have been on a weight loss journey since September of 2016.  My husband and I have joined a gym and one of my favorite things to do is walk/jog the track.  I try to do 2 or more miles daily and while I am walking I listen to some music.  One of the songs that I keep on repeat is called Anchor and it is sung by Mindy Gledhill.  One section of the lyrics is…

There are those who think that I’m strange
They would box me up and tell me to change
But you hold me close and softly say
That you wouldn’t have me any other way

And this is so true in my life.  There are people, within my own family, who think that what I believe is strange and they have attempted to box me up and tried to change me.  I have been quieted, but that can not happen anymore.  I will not be boxed up or snuffed out.  I was made to shine and be a light for God, and that is what I intend to do!

Yeshua, allow me to be a light to others in this dark and gloomy world, allow me to be a blessing to others. Manifest Your power and love within me…Amen

And here is a link to the song, Anchor, enjoy!!! Let me know what you think of it!!!

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
