Jesus Calling June 8th

I WANT YOU TO BE ALL MINE, filled with the Light of My Presence. I gave everything for you by living as a man, then dying for your sins and living again. Hold back nothing from Me. Bring your most secret thoughts into the Light of My Love. Anything you bring to Me I transform and cleanse from darkness. I know everything about you, far more than you know of yourself. But I restrain My yearning to “fix” you, waiting instead for you to come to Me for help. Imagine the divine restraint this requires, for I have all Power in heaven and earth.

Seek My face with a teachable spirit. Come into My Presence with thanksgiving, desiring to be transformed.”

Matthew 28:18 – Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Matthew 28_18

Psalm 100:4 – Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

Jesus Calling For Kids~June 8th~I Did It All for You

“I am all-powerful. All of heaven and earth is at My command. And yet…

I gave up all the glory and perfection of heaven to come to earth as a baby – for you. I grew up here, in the dust and sin of this world – for you. I allowed Myself to be beaten and then cruelly killed on a cross – for you. I did it all for you, so that you could be forgiven of your sins and live forever with Me.

I gave everything for you. Don’t hold back anything from Me. Bring Me your secret thoughts, your problems, and most of all, your heart. Come to Me with a thankful heart – ready to learn and be changed.”

My Thoughts

It is fairly easy for me to imagine how difficult it is for God NOT to step in and fix all of our problems.  As a mother and a grandmother, my default is to try to fix whatever is wrong in any of their lives.  I do understand the wish to step in and insist that they do it my way. And sometimes I want to insist that God step into their lives and unleash all of His power into their lives to fix them too.

I have learned though, that I serve a God who will not be intrusive.  He wants us to want Him as much as He wants us.  He wants us to totally understand the sacrifice He made for us and run straight to His arms.  He wants us to give Him undivided attention and He wants us to come to Him for everything we need.  He who never sinned died a sinner’s death so that we could live.  He died for us and we must live for Him!  He is “sovereign” over all the earth and we need to TRUST in His plans for us, always!

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
