Jesus Calling ~ May 8th

“DO NOT LONG for the absence of problems in your life. This is an unrealistic goal, since in this world you will have trouble. You have an eternity of problem-free living reserved for you in heaven. Rejoice in that inheritance, which no one can take away from you, but do not seek your heaven on earth.

Begin each day anticipating problems, asking Me to equip you for whatever difficulties you will encounter. The best equipping is My living Presence, My hand that never let’s go of yours. Discuss everything with Me. Take a lighthearted view of trouble, seeing it as a challenge that you and I together can handle. Remember that I am on your side and I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 16.33

Isaiah 41:13 “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

My Humble Thoughts…

I believe that God always knew that perfection, here on earth, for us mere mortals was impossible. He knew what the devil was capable of and He knew we would not always be able to avoid temptation. He knew that, even, if we didn’t seek trouble, it would sometimes seek us and we would need to know how to handle it.

I don’t know about you, but I learned my best lessons through trial and error; I learned my best lessons through the difficulties I faced. I learned who I could depend on in times of trouble and who would not stick around long enough for me to pick myself up off the floor. I learned that on this earth I am going to have trouble and that my best course of action is to take everything to God in prayer. Start the day in prayer…pray without ceasing…be in continual communication with the only One that will always help me!

Dear Lord,

I acknowledge that I cannot do this without you. I know that temptation is going to come knocking on my door and I will need your strength to see me through. I know that life is going to get messy and complicated, but that as long as I keep my mind stayed upon You…You will get me through all the storms. I love You Lord, I worship You, You are my God, You alone are good! You are on my side, You have overcome the world. Thank You, Jesus! Amen!

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
