“TRUST ME, and don’t be afraid. Many things feel out of control. Your routines are not running smoothly. You tend to feel more secure when your life is predictable. Let me lead you to the rock that is higher than you and your circumstances. Take refuge in the shelter of My wings, where you are absolutely secure.
When you are shaken out of your comfortable routines, grip My hand tightly and look for growth opportunities. Instead of bemoaning the loss of your comfort, accept the challenge of something new. I lead you on from glory to glory, making you fit for My kingdom. Say yes to the ways I work in your life. Trust Me and don’t be afraid.”
Isaiah 12:2 ” Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”
Psalm 61: 2-4 “2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. 4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV) “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
“Let me lead you to the rock that is higher than you and your circumstances.” Between this devotion and my pastor’s message tonight about the mountain God has fashioned just for me…I think God has some climbing for me to do. Believe me when I tell you climbing anything taller than a step-stool will definitely take me out of my comfortable zone. I am not fond of heights.
However, when I consider who He is and how much He loves me…I know that I can trust in the ways He works in my life. God does not want me to stay at the bottom of my mountain. He wants me to soar to the highest peak of that mountain and enjoy the view. In order for me to conquer my mountain I have to fix my eyes upon who is unseen…God and close my eyes and ears to what and who might be placing obstacles in my path to the top.
I just have to remember that at each new level there will be a new devil…no problem God will be right there. He will be my safety rope…I have nothing to fear! Let’s go climb some mountains!!!
