Praying for a Shorter Fuse!

“Sometimes you just need a shorter fuse”! I bet no one’s ever said THAT to you before! I heard it for the first time, yesterday morning, during my Pastor’s message. I believe these words to be some of the most profound words that I have heard in a long time.

Talk about getting a new perspective on an old expression!

“Sometimes you need a shorter fuse!” He was not talking about the fuse that ignites your anger; he was talking about the fuse (God) who will cause an explosion within you, to be all that He created you to be.

I waited over 50 years to give God total control over my life. I waited over 50 years to explode into the person He created me to be. Some of you may be thinking that this was all in God’s timing…I know better. I have had numerous opportunities during my life to make different choices, better choices that would have ignited my family and me to a closer walk with God.

Instead, I choose to smolder!!

Don’t smolder!

Let God light your fuse, so that you can help ignite others in their walk with the Lord.

After all, it only takes a spark to get a fire going! Let’s be the spark!!

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
