THE NEW TESTAMENT 93-DAY CHRONOLOGICAL READING PLAN – Day 28 Assignment

Moments with God

New Testament Bible Reading Plan

Day 28

As I learn your righteous regulations,

I will thank you by living as I should!

I will obey your decrees.

Please don’t give up on me! Psalm 119:7-8

“Please don’t give up on me!” How many times have you heard yourself saying those words to God??? I know, me too! I feel that these two verses are telling us that God is pleased when we live by His regulations and His decrees.   Never an easy thing for any of us to do.

I also know, personally, that God loved us so much that He sent His Son, the only right-living human ever, to pay the price for our inability to always do the right thing. I am so thankful for the mercy and grace God shows to me every day!!

Are we going to read about His grace and mercy in our reading assignment for today? Let’s find out together.

Today’s Reading Assignment – Luke 16 – 17:10

30 “The rich man replied, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’

31 “But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even if someone rises from the dead.’” Luke 16:30-31

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
