THE NEW TESTAMENT 93-DAY CHRONOLOGICAL READING PLAN

MANY STRANDS OF ONE ACCORD ON-LINE BIBLE STUDIES PRESENTS

THE NEW TESTAMENT 93-DAY CHRONOLOGICAL READING PLAN

FEBRUARY 1, 2013 – May 3, 2013

Who wants to join me on another 93-day Bible reading plan????  Last time we read both the Old and New Testament of the Bible in 90 days, this time we are going to be staying strictly within the New Testament.  If you weren’t a part of our last journey through the Bible or if you have never read the Bible and have always wanted to…the New Testament is a great place to begin. With this Bible reading plan, we will typically read two or three chapters each day for 93 days. Feel free to print out the plan, if you wish, and keep it with your Bible.

I will be posting each day’s reading assignment on the Many Strands page for use in our daily posts for “Moments with God”.  They will be accompanied by a picture verse, based on what spoke to me during my personal devotional time and I am also considering some study questions to help us get deeper into what we are reading.

Just in case you do not already use a journal during your “Moments with God”, I am going to suggest that you invest in one to use during this study.  You are going to want to be able to write down verses, your thoughts, your prayers…whatever you feel is speaking to you as you read each day…you are going to want to write these down in a journal.

Are you ready to begin???  Who’s going to join me???  Leave a comment under this post and let’s say this prayer for each other as we begin reading the New Testament on February 1st.

God, you have made the heavens and the earth.

You have revealed your beauty in creation

and inspired the books that we are now about to study.

Please help us now as we read together.

Take us deeper into understanding more about You

Your love for us and what You want to reveal to us

through these words we are reading.

In Jesus Name, Amen

And then before you begin your own personal study each morning, you might want to say a prayer like this as you get started…

Lord, you know my heart,

my weaknesses,

and the times that I fail you and others.

I really need you now to speak to me through these words. Please inspire me in this time I have with you.

In Jesus Name, Amen

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
