Many Strands of One Accord – Update 2013

Right now Many Strands of One Accord has multiple groups here on-line, mostly set up as prayer groups. Each of these groups have their own “theme” going on. One group is called Women Living Victoriously and we share posts about the Jesus Calling devotional and anyone can join at any time.

Another group is called G.L.U.E.; God Loves Us Eternally and they just finished reading the new book by Lysa TerKeurst, called “Unglued.” This group is now praying for each other as we take what we have learned and move forward from our “unglued” emotions. Encouraging posts and prayers are shared within this group, as well as prayer requests.

S.C.A.R.S. is another group under the Many Strands umbrella and in case you are wondering what the acronym means…”Sharing, Caring, Airing, Repairing Sisters. Together we did a study from the GIG’s called “Trusting God.” This group is now a prayer group and we also share the devotions from the GIG’s that are emailed out each week day.

Our original group is Women of Victory and this group was formed, originally through P31 and we have read “A Confident Heart” and “Made to Crave” together. This group continues to work on living a “healthier” lifestyle through centering our lives on Christ. Posts from this group tend to center on eating healthy, exercising and most importantly, how we can tap into the power of God to help us in all areas of a happy, healthy life.

Many Strands also offers challenges on our page…currently we are working on a weekly word study that will run for one year. We are currently on our 27th week and the word for this week is “Commitment.”

We are also “Praying the Names of Jesus” and we are in week 2 currently of this study. The posts are shared each morning, Monday through Friday, and I think you will find them enlightening and helpful.

Jesus name above all names

Each morning you will also find on our page a prayer and a suggested Moment with God devotional or Bible reading. This is our attempt to help you schedule a daily quiet time with God. We want you to start out your day right and the best way for that to happen is to begin each day in His word and having a conversation with Him.

We pray that God blesses you through our posts and we want to thank you for becoming one of our “strands” as we walk in “one accord” with our Lord.

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
