What My “Unglued” Mandate to Change Looks Like Now…

Lord, I solemnly promise that I am going to declare Colossians 1:17 over my life.  I agree that You existed before anything else and that You hold all of creation together.  I recognize that apart from you I can do nothing (John 15:5).  And with these verses in mind I hand control of my life over to You.  I no longer wish to live a life of unglued moments.  I want to live a life that is centered on Your gospel truths and centered on You.  I will no longer offer excuses or justifications; I am solely responsible for my “unglued” moments.  I agree to be held accountable for my actions and reactions.  I promise to be honest and forthright to the ladies within this study group about my struggles; taking full responsibility for those times when I blow it.  I promise to pray daily for the women doing this study…whether they are in this group or are a part of another on-line study group that I am aware of.  Lord, I invite you to help me deal with my unglued moments in a manner that is pleasing to You and I ask that You convict me for those moments when I am acting outside of Your will for my life.  It is in the name of Your Precious Son that I am signing this agreement.  Amen

Additions to Mandate to Change…

9-3-12 – Lord I will listen for your voice and obey you.  I will do my best to abide in you before allowing myself to coo me unglued.

9-4-12 – I commit to being thankful.  Each day I will choose to be thankful and walk in thankfulness.  When I commit to being thankful it will help me to walk in Your Peace.

9-5-12 – I am going to use the truths that I learned in the study, “The Power of a Woman’s Words” to keep myself in balance during those times that I feel I am heading down that unbalanced, unglued path.  I will think before I give life to words that should remain dead inside of me.  I do not need to give life to hurtful words or give life to unglued moments.

9-10-12 – Lord, in You I find my peace.  In You I find all that I need…I will come to Your River of peace and drink deeply each morning to help me throughout my day.  I ask for Your help during my day to recognize those people or moments that will take me from Your Peace.  Remind me that what is important for me is to remain in Your life-giving Peace.

9-11-12 – I will keep God first!

9-16-12 – I will remember that gratitude defends, gratitude sharpens, gratitude calms, gratitude strengthens and that gratitude heals.  I will remember that You are in control and You already have this situation under control.  I do not need to come unglued in this moment.

9-17-12 – I am going to remember my song during difficult moments with small children, so that I do not become a small child myself.  “I’m not gonna fuss…I’m not gonna whine…I’m gonna TRUST…that Jesus will see us through.”

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
