Jesus Calling – August 10th

Jesus Calling for Kids – August 10th
Use Your Time Wisely

Use your time wisely. You hear that a lot – from parents and teachers. They usually mean that they want you to get busy and get your work done.

I also want you to use your time well. Each day contains only twenty-four hours; that is 1,440 minutes or 86,400 seconds. And once those hours, minutes, and seconds are gone, you can never get them back again. So what will you do with today? surf the internet, chat with friends, loaf on the couch? Or make the most of every opportunity I give you.Spend time with Me – in My holy Presence. When you live close to Me, filling your mind with Scripture, I show you how to use your time wisely. I also show you the way you should go – lightning up the path I want to take. My Word and My Presence are lights for your path.

Ephesians 5:15-16 – So be careful to live your life wisely, not foolishly. Take advantage of every opportunity because these are evil times.

Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp before my feet and a light for my journey.

RELAX IN MY HEALING, holy Presence. Allow Me to transform you through this time alone with Me. As your thoughts center more and more on Me, trust displaces fear and worry. You mind is somewhat like a seesaw. As your trust in Me goes up, fear and worry automatically go down. Time spent with Me not only increases your trust; it also helps you discern what is important and what is not.

Energy and time are precious, limited entities. Therefore, you need to use them wisely, focusing on what is truly important. As you walk close to Me, saturating your mind with Scripture, I will show you how to spend your time and energy. My Word is a lamp to your feet; My Presence is a Light for your path.

My Reflection:
Jesus, Thank You for not being in the shadows – You are the Light of the world. I will do my best to believe God for His word and to trust that You will always see me through. I pray for grace to model a loving and caring attitude. It is only because of Your grace that I am still standing. Not my will, Lord, but Thy will be done. Lord forgive me for my many sins and I forgive others for their transgressions; real or imagined against me. I pray that You will guide me in my dealings with the enemy and help me to show love to all of Your people.

Thank You for blessing us with the gift of Your word. We are humbled by this gift. Thank you that I can pick up Your book, read Your words and take comfort in Your promises. Our time on this earth is very precious and we know that “Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” (Revelation 1:3) To You is given all the honor and glory for all that we say and do, in your name, Amen.

Oaks Of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
