He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands – Trusting God

I was so blessed yesterday to receive a message from a good friend of Gwen Smith (one of the authors of “Trusting God”) posted to the wall of our new on-line study of the book Trusting God.  She is a member of our on-line group and shared that she was with Gwen reading through our page and they prayed over us specifically AND both Sharon and Mary are aware of our study group AND they have prayed for us too. Isn’t that awesome? God is using the authors as our earthly angels to surround us in prayer as we go through this book.

Today’s Truth:

For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11)

Girlfriend to Girlfriend:

Today’s devotion brings home the truth that we need to take our hands off the wheel. There have been many times in this life where I did not take my hands off a situation or person and it made things worse. I wanted the control and so I took on a responsibility that belonged to God and very quickly it spun out of control and everything crashed and burned.

I have realized more and more that when I take my hands off of that wheel and TRUST God totally, His way is always better. He will step in and He will guide me to the place I need to be…He will step in and He will guide my loved ones to the place they need to be. I don’t need to worry when He is the one responsible.

If need be He will command His angels to guard me in all of my ways. I don’t need to worry about a thing…He has everything under His control. The only action that I need to take, is to hand it all to Him. He can’t help me if I am still trying to steer the car. Trust in God requires only one action on my part…give it up to Him.

Dear Father:

Thank You for protecting me. Thank You for the angels that you assign to watch over me. I can be at peace today knowing that my very life is in Your capable hands. In Jesus name, Amen

Now it’s your turn girlfriend….how did God speak to your heart through today’s devotion?

Isaiah 61:1-3 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lords's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; and to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display His glory.
