“LET ME ANNOINT YOU with My Presence. I am King of kings and Lord of lords, dwelling in unapproachable Light. When you draw near to Me, I respond by coming closer to you. As My Presence envelopes you, you may feel overwhelmed by My Power and Glory. This is a form of worship: sensing your smallness in comparison to My Greatness.
Man has tended to make himself the measure of all things. But man’s measure is too tiny to comprehend My majestic vastness. That is why most people do not see Me at all, even though they live and move and have their being in Me.
Enjoy the radiant beauty of My Presence. Declare My glorious Being to the world.”
1 Timothy 6:15-16 – which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
James 4:8 – Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Acts 17:28 – for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
Psalm 145:4-6 – One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness.
Jesus Calling for Kids
See My Greatness
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. – Psalm 145:3
“Let Me surround you with My Presence. I am King of kings and Lord of lords. When you come close to Me, I come even closer to you. You may feel overwhelmed by My Power and Glory. You may feel small compared to My Greatness. These feelings are actually a form of worship. You are telling Me that you know how powerful and wonderful I am.
Some people do not like My Greatness. They don’t like feeling small compared to anything – not even Me. They want to be in complete control, and they want to be the most important. They may even be so wrapped up in themselves that they don’t see Me at all.
Don’t fall into that trap. Enjoy being in the presence of My Greatness. Be glad that you have such a great and all-powerful God who loves you and is taking care of you.”
Last night as I typed these devotions into a document I was trying to decide how exactly I needed to reflect on the words. I went to bed thinking about how Sarah used these beautiful words to help us understand just how “majestic” God is and that we need to revel in His greatness. When I woke up this morning God gave me an idea to share with each of you.
Today is Memorial Day here in the United States and it is a time to memorialize those soldiers who laid down their lives for our great country. These soldiers laid down their lives not only for the people they knew, but also for complete strangers. “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) They paid the ultimate price for us to retain our freedoms.
We are able to enjoy these freedoms because of where God placed us in this world. A God who wrote each one of our stories and He never gets us confused. We are not here by accident…it was all a part of His perfect design. He is majestic…He is great…He is all-powerful!! We need to put our TRUST in Him…We need to acknowledge that we are small in comparison to Him.
We need to set aside some time today to pray. Pray for the soldiers who have fought for this country, pray for the families that are left behind, pray for the leaders who send them into battle and pray for the everyday citizen who those soldiers are fighting to keep safe. The heart of the United States of America is its people and its people need a heart change. We need to remember that this nation’s foundation was God. It does not end here in this country either…the world needs a heart change and the world needs to move from a shifting, shaky foundation to a solid foundation that can only stand upon God.
Let’s pray in agreement at some point today for our nation and our world to come to a better understanding of who is really in charge.
You loved humankind into being
and you bless us now with each precious moment of life.
Our hearts are grateful for your loving faithfulness.
Grateful, too, are we for the millions of loving acts
that blossom from human hearts around us every day
On this Memorial Day
help us to remember, with deepest gratitude and awe,
the extraordinary men and women who, out of love, gave their lives
to protect our beloved country and preserve our liberty.
Keep these fallen heroes in your loving care.
Help us to be ever mindful also of the wounded heroes in our midst
who, with valorous hearts, risked their lives that we might prosper
and that our children’s futures be secured.

Billy Graham’s Prayer for the Nation
Our Father and Our God, we praise You for Your goodness to our nation, giving us blessings far beyond what we deserve. Yet we know all is not right with America. We deeply need a moral and spiritual renewal to help us meet the many problems we face. Convict us of sin. Help us to turn to You in repentance and faith. Set our feet on the path of Your righteousness and peace. We pray today for our nation’s leaders. Give them the wisdom to know what is right, and the courage to do it. You have said, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” May this be a new era for America, as we humble ourselves and acknowledge You alone as our Savior and Lord. This we pray in Your holy name, Amen.
