“DON’T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF. I can bring good even out of your mistakes. Your finite mind tends to look backward, longing to undo decisions you have come to regret. This is a waste of time and energy, leading only to frustration. Instead of floundering in the past, release your mistakes to Me. Look to Me in trust, anticipating that My infinite creativity can weave both good choices and bad into a lovely design.
Because you are human, you will continue to make mistakes. Thinking that you should live an error-free life is symptomatic of pride. Your failures can be a source of blessing, humbling you and giving you empathy for other people in their weaknesses. Best of all, failure highlights your dependence on Me. I am able to bring beauty out of the morass of your mistakes. Trust Me, and watch to see what I will do.”

Micah 7:7 “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”
Don’t be so hard on yourself. I believe that this devotion is just about singing to me. God can bring good…EVEN out of my mistakes. God knows how my mind works better than anyone and He is so right that I tend to look backwards, longing to undo my past decisions or inactivity. Are you all feeling this devotion as strongly as I am right now? If I allow myself to look back too long, I will start throwing myself one huge pity party and that will only compound the original mistakes. Right????
I definitely do not want to look like a fish out of water and so I am going to take hold of the promises at the end of the first paragraph. I LOVE THIS VISUAL…it might have something to do with the tutorial I wrote for the “Many Strands” page. Let me share a little bit of what I wrote and I think you will all agree that God’s hand is on these groups.
“Our page is growing slowly but surely and if you have “liked” this page I know it is because of something that God has placed on my heart to share with you has resonated within your own heart. Each “like” adds another strand to the cord that “Many Strands” is WEAVING and makes this ministry stronger.”
He is weaving something beautiful out of all the mistakes I have made in my life in all areas of my life. These errors in judgment or just plain stupid decisions give me an empathetic heart and an understanding that I pray I use for His kingdom purposes. Each new member that God brings to these groups and to the “Many Strands” page is woven together with us and our past mistakes are transformed into a beautiful tapestry of God’s redeeming love.
I just have a blessing that I need to share with all of you before I end with a prayer.
I am going to admit to feeling a bit down over the last couple of days and concerned that maybe I was not on the right track. God sat me down today and gave me a good talking to, which led me to write the “Tutorial” for the group page. My ministry from God is just that…my ministry from God. He laid these ideas on my heart because He knows who I am and what I can do. If I have been called to be a blessing to you then you have also been called to be a blessing to me. We truly are “Many Strands of One Accord.”
Thank you for this day and thank you for the many blessings you give to us each and every day. I apologize for not always recognizing those blessing and for not always acknowledging your many blessings in my day. I give my life to you to do with it what you will. Take the many threads of my mistakes and weave something beautiful out of them…something beautiful that will point people to you. Lord, I trust You. Jesus, please use me. The honor and the glory is yours for all that I am and all that I am able to do, because it IS only because of you. In Jesus name, Amen
